Amy Winehouse has been making headlines again – for a good thing this time. Last Sunday, the British soul-singer won five of the six awards she was nominated for – Record of The Year, Song of The Year, Best New Artist, Best Female Vocal Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album – losing only in the category of Album of The Year to jazz legend Herbie Hancock. Winehouse, who had problems getting her US visa (due to “use and abuse of narcotics”), had to perform for the Grammys from London, the city which she dedicated her awards to. We give our congrats to the acclaimed singer, hoping that her accolades inspire a healthier, longer-living lifestyle in the talented artist. [Grammy, Time]
