Tears were shed in the back room of many a comic book store today, as one of the creators of the groundbreaking role-playing game, Dungeons and Dragons, passed away.
Gary Gygax died at 69 on Tuesday morning. He and Dave Anerson created Dungeons and Dragons, which became one of the most influential role-playing games of all time, defining the way such games would be played forever more.
Gary Gygax was survived by his wife and six children. [CNN]
