A village in the remote Urals region of Russia was the scene of rather disturbing turn of events, where a shop and house were damaged by a military tank under the control of an allegedly inebriated soldier.

Witnesses report seeing one man boarding the tank in a cumbersome fashion, armed with a couple of bottles of vodka. Based on footage recorded from a mobile phone camera, the driver exhibited obvious intoxicated behaviors.

"He was drunk," one villager stated according to Reuters.

The crash occurred after the tank's crew stopped to replenish their expired vodka cache. The Russian Army denies that the driver was drunk, because the tank was "on the way to military exercises," but has agreed to pay compensation for the damage incurred by the embarrassing incident.

How many times does it need to be reiterated, folks? Do not drink and drive... your tank. Silly Russians.
