Due to a reporting error, TheSequitur.com incorrectly reported that Circuit City, Linens Holdings Co. and Sharper Image Corp. filed for bankruptcy in a Morning Coffee blog post published Friday, May 2, entitled “(No) End in sight for credit crunch.” Circuit City has not filed for bankruptcy. Linens Holdings Co., the owner of Linens ‘n Things, and Sharper Image Corp. filed for a Chapter 11 reorganization, a bankruptcy protection tool that safeguards a company from creditors’ lawsuits while the company reorganizes its financial structure. We regret the errors.
