When the writers' strike ended the last season of NBC's “Heroes” prematurely, the viewing public was left wondering, basically, what the hell was going on in that universe.
On September 15, however, NBC plans to begin making up for the truncated season by airing a three-hour “Heroes” event, according to EW.com. According to the article, a two-hour season premiere would follow a one-hour recap of the story so far. Also according to the article, there may be a grand total of 35 episodes in the works for season three. This would make up for the skinny eleven-episode season that was cut short by the writers' strike.
If NBC plans on giving us more “Heroes” to make up for the gap left by the strike, I'm all for it. While I support the purpose of the writers' strike, I'm thankful that it didn't crush some of my favorite shows, “Heroes” included. Needless to say, I will be firmly planted on the couch on September 15, and more than likely, I'll be talking about my impressions of the “event” right here. Stay tuned. [EW.com]
