A new YouTube sensation (nearing 20 million views) lives among us, and her name is Susan Boyle. She is fresh off her shockingly competent performance on “Britain’s Got Talent,” below, in which an entire audience and judge panel pre-judged her based of her meek appearance only to be blown away when the girl proved she can actually sing. "When you stood there…everyone was laughing at you. No one is laughing now," said one of the judges. Actually, everyone who did not pre-judge her on her appearance (one thing the reality-gameshow genre thrives on) is laughing...at everyone who did.

UPDATE: Click here to check out Susan Boyle's 1999 rendition of Ella Fitzgerald's "Cry Me a River."

Thank you so much Susan for reminding us that beauty comes from within. You have inspired me and I will never doubt myself again. God bless you and good luck in your newly found fame. Please do not let fame change who you are. It is not the make-up that determines who you are, that is all phony. It is that inner beauty that counts.

Thank you! Your beautiful voice made me cry - with pleasure. Please don't change with all the fame.

Thank you Susan, for lifting my spirits. You sing from your heart & your voice comes from your beautiful soul. Your place in Heaven must surely be secured, but for now, a hug & a kiss for you for each day of the rest of your life. Pebbles is one lucky cat. Thank you!!! XX

God He Must Be Missing One Of His ANGELS That Was The First Time I Heard This Lady Sing And what A Wonderful Voice Go On Girl God Bless You......

I have also despised American Idol and any/all of those reality TV shows hell bent on humiliating people. I kept on hearing about Susan Boyle but after watching that You Tube video, I was floored. After her performance, I couldn't believe I had cried. Her angelic voice was so beautiful. I was truly privileged to have heard it, it almost seemed like a dream. I wish only the very best to this beautiful soul and I hope she shows everyone that you, most definitely, should not judge a book by its' cover. What a wonderful story and I hope she is ready for what life has in store for her from this day on. Good luck Susan, although with that voice, you don't have much to worry about in the luck department. Thank you for showing all those who rolled their eyes and snickered you are a force to be reckoned with!!!!!!!

How refreshing to have Susan Boyle give us such pleasure with her voice without all the pretentiouness that seems to be required today in order to be recognized.
Susan is like a breath of fresh air. I look forward to her CD and the enjoyment of that beautiful voice.

Everyone I know was in tears at Susan's performance on Britain's Got Talent,if you enjoyed it too there is a recording of Susan singing Cry Me A River now on You Tube.
It was done for a charity c.d 10 years ago.
Check it out!
A platinum disc when her record/c.d is released I say :-)

This shows that a mirage could be reality, for Susan it is a miracle, God blesses each one of us with a gift, it might not be a perfect body and face but a gift bringing joy to millions.

I would pay to see Susan Boyle in the West End, her voice is every bit as good as those singers I have seen in Les Miserables -what a wonderful voice to listen to! Can't wait to see more of her.

Thank you for this: 'Actually, everyone who did not pre-judge her on her appearance (one thing the reality-gameshow genre thrives on) is laughing...at everyone who did.' Those of us who tire of the Hollywood version of beauty thoroughly enjoy the beauty, dignity, chutzpah and grace of a woman such as Susan. She blew me away with her ability to let the laughter and condescension blow past her without a ruffle. And the kiss she threw to the audience as she left the stage--What professionalism and love! Yes, I know I'm mixing words we don't often see together. Perhaps that's one reason we are so taken with her. She so enriches our hearts and minds.
