A Canadian jet was hijacked overnight in Jamaica. The plane was taken by a gunman who slipped past airport security during a stop-over at the airport in Montego Bay on the way from Halifax to Cuba. Some passengers and two crew members bribed the hijacker with money to get out. The six crew members taken as hostages are safe after Jamaican troops rescued them.
